CVRC Field Day 2025 Plans

Now is the time to get ready for the 2025 ARRL Field Day, which takes place June 28th & 29th. CVRC plans to operate with the call sign K1B, from 2PM on Saturday to 2PM Sunday at 49 Corbin Road in Henniker with several generator-powered radios. Newly licensed and young people are especially encouraged to participate.

Planning and organization are needed!

·         Please attend the CVRC Meeting on Tuesday, June 10thif you can’t be there, please attend virtually on Zoom. The Zoom Invitation and link will go out on the Email Reflector.

·         IMPORTANT, by June 22ndIf you miss the 10 June Meeting, email Marcia Shell @ k4ota2172@… with the below information to sign up for Field Day participation so I can update the internal master roster.

Besides operating, various tasks include setting up the tent (June 26 or 27, depending on the weather), putting Anti-Tick Powder on the premises, getting the food, cleaning up afterwards, computer logging, and sending Field Day results in proper format to ARRL. We also want to invite any Elected Officials and Served Agency Officials to visit – can anyone help arrange this?

The Club will provide take-out meals for participants and there will be a high-class Port-a Potty on the premises. Please bring your own insect repellent, flashlight, personal supplies, plus operating aids, such as scrap paper, pencils, clocks, lamps, etc.

You can find a Field Day Guide in the June, 2025 QST, or download the Field Day Packet at https://www.arrl.org/field-day-rules

Besides putting in a good effort, the goal is to have a safe and enjoyable time! We hope you will be part of this important Field Day Plan with the Contoocook Valley Radio Club (CVRC) in New Hampshire. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out and ask.

Thanks and 73,
